“Prescott” Gaylord is a skilled green developer with a unique background in corporate social responsibility and environmental appliance. He has made a career of enabling for-profit businesses to operate under environmental mission statements while being competitive in their own markets. He has made this paradigm successful in corporate consulting, manufacturing, mining and now real estate development, construction and sales.
Gaylord has done consulting for businesses large and small, as well as creation of forward thinking organizations which bring environmental responsibility and community betterment to the corporate landscape. Gaylord’s businesses and clients tend to work toward benefiting local communities and cities as well as good environmental business practices. Some of his professional achievements include:
- Founding of Baltimore Landmark Homes:
A development and construction company. The development department works with local communities to deliver the rehabilitation and development that is most beneficial to the existing community and city. Furthermore it has a mission of using the most cutting edge environmental technologies available to keep the burden off of natural and city resources.
The construction department uses concepts of reclaimed materials, energy efficiency and renewable materials as its basis for construction.
- Founding of City Life Realty:
A new Baltimore City based real estate brokerage. This company is dedicated to the principle that as more homeowners that move into the city, the burden on natural resources and infrastructure in Maryland will decrease. This brokerage will profit only by selling the benefits of live in the City of Baltimore.
- Founding of Knowledge Management, Inc.:
A consulting company in the field of corporate environmental management. KMI has helped large corporations, including Fortune 100 companies, create and maintain environmental management systems.
- Founding of Minepro Tools, LLC:
A provider of safety management software for the aggregate mining industry.
- Contributing author of Environment: Value to business:
A publication of the Global Environmental Management Initiative. Gaylord was a contributing author to this publication. Specifically, he wrote the chapter on process mapping for environmental management benefit.
